Healthcare facilities have specific insurance requirements for the contractors working in them, and rightly so. A cleaning crew operating in a clinical space has access to medications, patient records, medical equipment, and areas of the facility that general contractors would never enter. The insurance and bonding requirements reflect that access level.
What we carry
We carry general liability insurance appropriate for commercial cleaning operations in healthcare settings, workers' compensation coverage for all crew members, and a janitorial services bond. A certificate of insurance is included with every written quote and is available on request at any time during the service relationship. If your facility management company, building lease, or accreditation standards require a specific coverage level or a named additional insured endorsement, raise that requirement in the quote conversation — we can confirm whether it is met before you commit to anything.
Why this matters for healthcare facility managers
An uninsured cleaning contractor working in your facility creates two problems. First, if a crew member is injured on site, the liability for that injury may fall to the facility if the contractor does not carry workers' compensation. Second, if something is damaged, stolen, or compromised — a piece of equipment, a medication cabinet, a patient record — an uninsured and unbonded contractor provides no financial recourse. Bonding exists specifically to cover those situations.
